Expect the Unexpected

September 20, 2021 (Boulder, CO ) - Sometimes there’s nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile. So many things have happened during the past several weeks with FIFA and U.S. Soccer which have led to confusion, disappointment and frustration. 92 amateur teams nationwide have felt the negative impact of the new player clearance process which hit us right before U.S. Open Cup Qualifying First Round Matches on September 12-19. We were able to cobble together our best squad possible amidst administrative challenges which were literally out of our control. Our 1-0 victory over Union Jerez on September 15 in #usoc222 was a special group performance and we couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of our staff, players and fans. Now we shift focus back to Colorado Super League, continue with our 12 game winning streak and look forward to taking care of business vs Guadalajara on Thursday, September 23 at 8:00pm at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park Field #18. Are we ready? You know it!

Fresh Fall Season

August 17, 2021 (Boulder, CO) - It’s been an epic summer for our club. We thoroughly enjoyed training, scrimmages, games and social events together with our families, friends and fans. FC won the Colorado Super League in June with an undefeated season of 10-0-0. OG won Colorado Premier League Over 30 Division in June and the Fred Ammer 50th Annual Vail Invitational Tournament Silver Division in July. U23 ballers came in June from NJCAA, NAIA and NCAA D1, D2 and D3 universities. They trained, played and integrated well on and off the pitch then headed back to college preseasons in early August. Now we shift gears to focus on Fall Season 2021 full of friendlies, league matches and FC participating in U.S .Open Cup 2022 Qualifying Tournament. Our core is strong, our newbies are quality and our ambition is sky high. Come join us and support America’s favorite pub team as we embark on fresh journeys of development, learning and triumphs together. Photo courtesy of Kevin Pugh.

Never Gets Old

July 21, 2021 (Golden CO) - It’s been a long time coming due to the Covid climate starts and stops, but our Harpos OG squad persevered to win the Colorado Premier League Over 30 Division spring season title. It was a grueling 120 minute match in the 90 degree heat vs Azteca which finished 4-2 on penalty kicks for us. Well done to our opponent on great game. Now both Harpos FC and OG sides are preparing this week for the 50th Annual Fred Ammer Vail invitational Tournament. Since 2012 this event has become known as the “best weekend of the year" for our club. We are happy, healthy and excited to bond in the valley together. Here’s to having fun, making memories and coming home with 2 new trophies!!

Love and Effort

June 16, 2021 (Golden, CO) - It was an entertaining Colorado Super League Final vs Chivas de Guadalajara at the historic Denver Kickers Clubhouse on Sunday, June 13 at 4:00pm MT. We prepared wisely for this championship match organized by Colorado Soccer Association and our bros came out flying. We dominated in the first half going up 4-1 (despite a questionable penalty kick call against us) but then an hour long lightning delay derailed our positive momentum. Chivas regrouped well and came out quickly in the second half scoring two nice goals to make it 4-3. Both sides continued battling in the 93 degree heat with some referee drama including a red card to our player in the 80th minute. Thereafter we played a man down and sat deep to hit them on the counter attack which came to fruition in the 88th minute with an assist from Daniel Whittle to Juan Pablo Caffa goal. It was a fitting way to end the game at full time 5-3. One of our squad goals was to win this spring season league title and we did it with aplomb going 10-0-0 with 59 goals for and 7 goals against. Our community club is chuffed with this result and will celebrate with our fans at an upcoming social event, but we’re still hungry for more journeys together. Let’s keep going from strength to strength!
